Top Employers for Working Families 2016
The Top Employers for Working Families Benchmark covers all aspects of workplace agility/flexibility and how employers support the work-life balance of all their staff, and particularly of parents and carers, across the organisation. It highlights those organisations who are keen to reap the bottom line benefits of an agile and engaged workforce.
The benchmark and awards identify those progressive employers who recognise and leverage the powerful links between flexibility and agile working, emotional engagement, well-being, and high-performance.
Taking part in the benchmark survey provides a unique opportunity to understand and celebrate what is working well, as well as assess what can be improved. Entrants receive their own personalised detailed feedback which enables you to see whether you are ahead of, or behind, the curve and by how much, on every question. We also do a summary report and recommendations for further action which we discuss with you at a feedback session. Previous entrants have found that benchmarking has also enabled them to clarify their strategic priorities:
‘We’ve found the benchmark very useful as it affords us a unique opportunity to compare our working practices with other leading organisations. This helps us improve what we can do for our staff, which in turn makes a real difference to the service we provide.’
‘Being able to benchmark against other firms nationwide, gives us the opportunity to ensure we remain an employer of choice and benefit from the ideas shared by others.’
‘Thank you for all the inspiration and support that you have given to help us become a Top 10 Employer. Not only has it made business sense to be such an employer, it has made a real difference to the lives of our employees’.
The Working Families Awards and in particular the category of Best for Embedded Flexibility are important to Barclays, helping us to create sustainability around our Dynamic Working Campaign. We aim to ensure dynamic working is available for all our colleagues including our future talent and our alumni who may decide in the future to return to the Bank. The external recognition enables this momentum to continue.
